Pakistan Cricket team has had a tough luck recently, with a whitewash against England in the five ODIs series and the latest defeat at the hands of Afghanistan in the warm up match. While the team has been unable to show some high spirit in the field, a few weeks prior to the World Cup 2019, Captain Sarfraz Ahmed is boosting the team’s high morale.
“The atmosphere in the dressing room is very fine,” said the Captain a little after the team lost against Afghanistan side from three wickets.
“I think we need to discuss with the bowlers because our batsmen are scoring runs. We have to work on our bowling,” he pin-pointed the area of problem.
Although it is expected that with Muhammad Amir and Wahab Riaz joining the 15 member World Cup squad, the green side will be able to rise against the odds; it is pertinent to mention that fielding is another demeaning factor for the team for quite a long time.
The Captain is optimistic, knows the problems and the selectors have tried to aid the ailing bowling side. It is yet to be seen how the team with its ‘high morale’ shows up against West Indies on May 31, as Pakistan inaugurates its World Cup tournament.
