Brazil and PSG’s star footballer Neymar, who has been out of action since January, on the back of his foot injury is likely to make a comeback on Sunday as PSG goes against Monaco in France Ligue 1.
“Neymar trained a lot with us, he worked hard and strong. He is impatient it is clear, when he is with us at training he shows it,” said PSG coach Thomas Tuchel who hoped that the striker will be on the field this weekend.
Earlier due to Neymar’s absence, PSG was knocked out of the Champions League after losing 3-1 at home to Manchester United. Lately, the French club has also lost to Strasbourg, Lille and Nantes in Ligue 1 due to fitness issues of key players like Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Captain Thiago Silva.
Neymar who had gotten injured in Coup de France while playing against Strasbourg in January, resumed his training at the beginning of this month but did not deem fit for the matches. Now with the footballer’s expected return, the club has high hopes to conquer the title next week.
