After his recent splendid innings of 65, against England, Babar Azam has gained 11 points to consolidate his ranking as number 1 batsman in the ICC T20 Ranking. Alongside, Pakistan also maintained its top position on the chart despite recent defeat against England in Cardiff.
On the bowling side, left-arm spinner Imad Wasim jumped up a spot to secure second ranking on the chart. This has come on the back of his efficient spell against England in the recent match where he also picked up a wicket for the team.
Imad leapfrogged Pakistan’s Shadab Khan and England’s Adil Rashid. While Shadab is recovering from an illness thus missed the match, the latter could not pick up a wicket in Cardiff. Shaheen Shah Afridi also moved up three spots and now stands at 47th instead of 50th.
Batsman Haris Sohail – after his latest 50 – has taken a massive jump from 218th spot to 141st in the ICC rankings of T20.
